KESARI

HOW TO MAKE RAVA KESARI

KESARI is one of the best deserts in south Indian cuisine. whatever any function comes in our house all 'ammas' used to make instant Kesari and they will surprise us .one of my best dessert forever is Kesari. I love to prepare for my family. It is one of the easiest and delicious. I will just give one tip to you all. whenever you are feeling low just spend 10 minutes and make this and enjoy you will get some energy with this yummy Kesari. I am happy to share my type of preparing Kesari which my mamma used to make always.

Preparation time: (10-15 minutes)

Ingredients used to prepare Kesari:
  • RAVA - 1 CUP (we can replace the cup measurement with the 'tumbler ' or small bowl).
  • SUGAR- 1.5CUP OR 2 CUPS (it varies per person some likes less sweet and some likes more .so 2 cups is more than enough).
  • WATER-3 CUPS (normal water).
  • CARDAMOM -3 or 4 numbers.
  • FOOD COLORING- one pinch Orange or yellow as your wish.

FOR TEMPERING:
  • GHEE-1 tablespoon.
  • CASHEW NUTS -5-8 numbers each.
  • RAISINS-6-7 numbers each.

PREPARATION:

I am given the preparation in a step-by-step process explanation with a photo. it's would be better to understand the preparation procedure.

STEP 1:
Take a pan of your choice and keep it on a stove or induction.

STEP2:
When the pan is hot pour some ghee.

STEP3:
Then add the cashews and raisins. When the cashew turns brown, and raisins will plump up switch off the flame then transfer the cashew and raisins to some other bowl.

STEP4:
In that same pan with the left-over ghee add those Rava and dry roast.

STEP5:
When the Rava gets roasted you will get a slight brown color. keep in mind Rava will get burnt soon. so take the Rava as soon you see a slight brown color. Transfer the Rava into another bowl.

STEP6:
Now add that required water and made it boil.

STEP7:
When the water started boils add the cardamom powder and food coloring (yellow or orange).

STEP8:
Then add the sugar and stir until it becomes sugar syrup.

STEP9:
Now lower the flame add the Rava slowly and stir continuously and slowly without forming any lumps. (more important: if the flame is too high it will make “Kesari” dry faster).

STEP10:
Then add those roasted cashews and raisins and one tablespoon of ghee.

NOW YOUR DELICIOUS YUMMY” KESARI” IS READY!!!!! SERVE THIS AS A SNACK OR A DESSERT FOR YOUR MEAL OR BREAKFAST😋😋😋

THANK YOU
